What is the SIA Instructor Course?
The SIA Instructor Course is a mandatory requirement for those aspiring to become professional SIA Trainers.
Mandatory Requirement:
Required for individuals aspiring to become Instructors for SIA-compliant courses.
Course Content: Level 3 Award in Education & Training!
- Chapters covering roles and responsibilities, relationships, inclusive teaching approaches, assessment principles, creating a safe learning environment, motivating learners, planning, and evaluation of teaching, different assessment methods, dealing with potential problems, teaching equipment, and practical teaching sessions.
Course Content: Level 3 Award in Delivery of Conflict Management
- Units covering understanding the principles of conflict management, designing and delivering conflict management scenarios.
Course Content: Level 3 Award in Delivery of Physical Intervention
- Units covering knowledge assessment and demonstration of practical skills, including primary and secondary control skills, pressure point applications, balance displacement methods, muscular dysfunction tactics, and breakaway methods.
Course Assessment: Delegates will provide a written assignment and a presentation/demonstration of techniques, supported by full tutor assistance during the learning phase. Technical skills and underlying principles related to physical intervention techniques will be taught.
